2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara Questions & Answers
Hi , I have a 2010 1.9 DDIS vitara . There is a warning light on the dash( rectangular box with a zig zag line through it ) and the engine has lost power , no turbo boost.
Any ideas?
(in what country ,we are USA are you)
direct diesel injection system.
our books (pro) cover are cars,not others.. so.... where are you.?
the glove box has operators guide, and every lamp is covered.
read that yet:?
we cant see it unless you post a photo of it,
words dont convey how things look well a tall,
scan it yet , any time engine looses power we
check engine oil level
the coolant.
then scan it. 1,2,3, bingo
or why not get the car serviced as most do.?
the warning lamps vary by, engine, transmission and country
and laws in each country, regulation them.
the glove box book matches all that, so dont loose it ,
if lost buy one and not be stuck like this.

Check for Evap System Codes
The fuel tank should most likely have about
1 or 2 lbs of pressure & only when the computer
runs a test, does the evap purge valve by the
engine open, to draw out fuel fumes to be burned
in the motor,so NO Vacuum or Pressure at the cap
when the car is off
I would guess the vent valve solenoid is a possible issue,
if you can not fill the tank without the pump nozzle kicking off,
or the fuel tank pressure valve is bad
Have to have ALL of the Evap System Components tested
& the system Smoke Tested
I do not know if any of those items can be controlled with a
scan tool,asian vehicles do not provide all the data features
as we have on say GM Ford & Chry
Howdo you change cabin air filter
if it has one, at all its covered in the operators guide and FSM.
did you read the manual yet?
the hard parts finding,it, even looking directly at it, its like , not seen.
on my 04 , the fsm states, OPTIONAL.
and says, remove glove box door.
then a clip and it slides out. to you.
if you service your own car, why not use a real service manual

some cars have HVAC options, and this effect the locations.
Rear brake rotors
Go to autozone dot com and make a free account. put in the vehicle year make and model, look at the free repair guides
Caliper bolts get loose
the main mounting bolts? not guides?
caliper mount to knuckle bolts?
what torque did you use? in foot/lbs.
- id bet they are not factory spec bolts
- or you used the wrong torque page.
- or your tool is no good. (harbor fright tools?)
use a beam torque tool, it will never fib to you, like cheap clickers do.

specs
tighten the caliper pin bolts to 26 ft. lbs. (36 Nm). Bottom bolt
there are 4 bolts specs here.
above pin
banjo 17ft/lbs
top B bolts is 61.5 foot lbs. (this came loose at 61 ?)
C spec is 5ft/lbs on bleeder nipples.
now alternator tack.
the rotor is warped so bad it bead the calipers to death.
the wheel bearing, is so bad , same.
ever check those for run out, and end play?
bingo if true.
damage and collateral damage are limitless.
and rust too. (entropy of all kinds)
Grand am radio lock code
contact suzuki dealer with vehicle details and they should be able to supply the radio code , if no go try this link as has helped before
