My bushings are going and I was wondering if I

axles and bushings are two totally different things. when you say bushings I think of upper and lower control arms that have bushing pressed in by machines that can be pressed out the old ones and press in the new bushings. Axles I think of constant velocity joints and boots which also can be replace with new ones.please tell me what you are asking?

Engine cooling fan won't operate

First thing is to be sure that you are using 1/2 water and 1/2 antifreeze. Second is to be sure the thermostat is working, third is to be sure the radiator is not clogged inside or outside.

Will spare wheel from 2009 Aveo 1.2 fit 2012 Aveo 1.2

Since the Aveo was discontinued in 2011 I think you have made an error in model year unless 2011 model was sold as 2012. That being said if the trim style is the same on the vehicles than they will use the same wheels. Some styles use 15" and some use 14". If your vehicle uses 14" then the wheels of another aveo using 14' wheels will fit. ditto for 15" wheels.

Burning smell when I warm up the car

check to make sure you dont have anything (plastic bag, etc) burned and stuck on the exhaust, othere than that it could be a normal smell associted with the different materials getting hot, i would compare it to another like vehicle and see, could also be trapped odors in the heater core caused by a previous smoker or bacteria growing, gm sells an odor elimnator that works pretty well

My 2009 chev aveo has

I have a 2009 Chevy Aveo. The hold light has come on two times since I have owned the vehicle. The first time at about 37,000 (just out of warranty)the vehicle started running very poorly. the check engine light came on as well as the hold light blinking. At first I thought it was a transmission problem, It was NOT. The problem with this gem of a car is that the spark plugs need to be replaced by 35,000 miles. The check engine light was due to the ignition coil pack being bad (cylinder 3) All four need to be replaced at once. After replacing the coil pack and plugs the check engine light went out and the hold light went out. This was an extremely easy repair. I walked my 13 year old daughter through the repair. The second time the hold light went on was about a week ago. I now have about 52,000 miles. The light came on for no apparent reason. The only unusual thing that happened was that i accidentally spun the tires in the rain just before the light came on. The owners manual will tell you to bring it in asap because there could be serious problems. I couldn't believe i was having another major problem (there was no check engine light on this time) My guess was that the spinning of the tires could have had something to do with causing the hold light to go on and blink. What i did was disconnect the battery over night in an attempt to reset the light. It worked, i have not seen the light come back on in over a week. I drive about 50 miles a day on the highway as well as stop and go traffic. Ill call that a win. These lights come on for a reason, if the light comes back on i will be planning on taking it in to a transmission specialist. I am not trying to say you should ignore your lights but sometimes a little effort before taking it into your mechanic can save you a bunch of money. I just wanted to share what i did with you all. Also you can have your check engine codes read my many auto part stores usually at no charge.I would never buy another Aveo or recommend one to anyone. In my opinion they are poorly manufactured vehicles. I guess i should have guessed that any vehicle with a 3 year 36k mile warranty has such a short warranty for a reason! I hope i could help someone with my experience.

I have a 2009 Chevy Aveo saden 4d LT, the car idles and takes off roughly

HelloThe Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

Engine stalled and now acts as if the clutch is not depressed does not turn over

You may have a defective clutch starter cut off switch. Go under the dash and remove the connector from the clutch switch, jumper it with a paper clip and see if the engine starts without pressing the clutch. if it doesn't replace the switch. Caution!! DO NOT DRIVE IT WITH THE SWITCH BYPASSED IT IS VERY DAMAGEROUS.

How to start the relearn procedure on a 2009 Chevy

There is a relearn procedure for the transmission but you need a Tech 2 diagnostic with the appropriate software. It only for automatic transmissions. The clutch data is learned which translate adaptive data cells. Which the TCM uses for clutch controls during shifting. This is for the fast learn procedure. There is another method that I will find later
