2004 Dodge Dakota. I hit the brake pedal and the whole truck vibrated in the front end.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to model category. It could be a few things, none of them good and all dangerous. Have it checked out by a mechanic. A few of the reasons in the link, disc brakes and suspension are the most likely. https://www.google.com/search?q=2004+Dodge+Dakota.+I+hit+the+brake+pedal+and+the+whole+truck+vibrated+in+the+front+end ..

1997 Dodge Dakota stalling and loping?

This might not be engine related. More information please. Does this happen only when you turn the steering or all the time? Is it just when reversing or both directions? Test this by reversing slowly in a straight line for about about one truck's length then gently start turning the steering wheel. Listen and feel for what happens as you turn the steering. Transmissions can also affect how an engine behaves when their put into gear. Do you know if it has been serviced in the past? Have you had it scanned for OBD Trouble Codes? All cars after 1996 have to have this system fitted. Scanning for codes will tell you if it is a sensor causing the issue. If you have to pay for the service ask at 4 or 5 different places as prices can be VERY different. Comment below with the codes and I'll try to help you more.

2004 Dodge Dakota. It down shifts hard and now it won't shift out of 2nd gear and I have code P0734 and the fluid level is good. Where is the solenoid located?

Question edited for clarity and spelling 'solenoid'. Question moved to model category. It may not be the solenoid, it is a speed sensor error related to 4th gear. The P0734 code stands for "Gear 4 Incorrect Ratio." It's logged when the PCM detects that the RPM of your input speed sensor doesn't match the expected RPM in 4th gear. Aug 17, 2023

1999 Dodge Dakota V6 heater problems! I flushed the heater core, did not help. I tried putting a T in top heater hose, connected the hot side heater hose did not help.

Question edited for clarity and fix the text and add some spaces. Question moved to model category. This is usually cause by air locks. When you have air in the system, the heater core doesn't fill with coolant and doesn't circulate. If you add coolant and you are on a driveway with the front of the vehicle down a few degrees, the heater core doesn't fill. https://www.fixya.com/cars/r29872074-vehicle_cooling_system_no_heat Another outside possibility is that the impeller on the water pump is worn out. Other ideas here and videos https://www.google.com/search?q=1999+Dodge+Dakota+no+heat ..

Can't find location for trailer elect hook-up

there is no factory connector you must tap into the existing wiring for brake, turn signals, tail and running lights, they make special adapters to "piggy back" into these wiries, U-Haul trailer rental can do (install and sell) this kit for u very cheap.

2004 Dodge Dakota. It keeps blowing the blower fan resistor, and now the blower motor quit. Is there something wrong with the temperature control?

The problem was the motor. Replace the blower motor and resister and it should be fine. If the blower motor resistor is experiencing repeated failure, the blower motor is likely drawing too much current. Excess current draw from the blower motor will cause the resistor to burn out. The blower motor in your truck has a resistor block with multiple resistor wires. Jun 21, 2023
