1998 Acura Integra. P0301 misfire.
If you have already checked the spark plugs, plug wires, fuel injectors, and distributor and are still experiencing a misfire in cylinder 1 and 2, here are a few more things you can check:
- Compression: Check the compression in cylinder 1 and 2 using a compression tester. Low compression could cause a misfire in one or both cylinders.
- Vacuum Leak: Check for a vacuum leak by inspecting all hoses and fittings for cracks, damage, or looseness. You can also use a smoke machine or propane torch to locate any leaks.
- Ignition Coil: Check the ignition coil to ensure it is functioning properly. You can do this by swapping the coils from cylinder 1 and 2 with the coils from another cylinder and see if the misfire follows the swapped coil.
- Fuel Pressure: Check the fuel pressure to ensure it is within the manufacturer's specifications. Low fuel pressure can cause misfires.
- EGR Valve: Check the EGR valve to ensure it is functioning properly. A malfunctioning EGR valve can cause misfires.
- PCM/ECU: If all other components have been checked and are functioning properly, it is possible that the PCM/ECU (Powertrain Control Module/Engine Control Unit) may be faulty and may need to be replaced.
It is recommended to perform these checks in a methodical manner to narrow down the cause of the misfire. If you are not comfortable performing these checks yourself, it is recommended that you seek the assistance of a professional technician.
How to Clean a Solenoid Starter in Acura integra car?
1) Keep the starter on a clean surface.
2) Clean the starter with lubricant cleaner.
3) Remove the motor from starter by removing the bolts holding the starter.
4) Clean the bolts also with the lubricant cleaner.
5)After the bolts are removed the stater will come out.
the inner cylinder connected to the starter will not come out.it will remain in place.
6) Properly clean all the components with lubricant cleaner.
7) Use cleaning brush and rag to clean all the inner components.
8) The starter is cleaned now.
8) Then reassemble all the components back.

My 91 acura integra is stalling after idling for
Idle is controlled by two main
sensors: the FITV and the IACV. The FITV is a mechanical valve that is
controlled by coolant temperature (there is no ECU plug to it). When
the coolant is cold, the valve is open and letting air into the Intake Manifold
through a hole in the Throttle Body above the throttle plate. This
creates a small vacuum leak which in turn lets the motor idle higher
than normal (supposed to be above 1K RPM for warming up). As the
coolant warms up the valve closes and no longer lets air in through the
hole in the throttle body. From this point the IACV, which is Engine Control Unit
controlled, is letting small amounts of air into the Intake Manifold through another
hole in the Throttle Body. Any amount of extra air the ECU is not expecting will
confuse it and you will get either a high idle or a
roaming/hunting/fluctuating idle. The principal of engine to operate is a need to have a Fuel : Air ratio of 14.6:1. You smell the gas after restart since the unburnt gas, when the engine dies, got pushed out through the exhaust manifold.
Th following are in order one after the other until it fix problem.
1- Find and replace the vacuum leak on hoses mentioned above.
2- Clean the the gunk built up at holes mentioned above.
3- Replace thermal valve at engine block identified by two vacuum hoses connecting to the Throttle Body.

A/c compressor and condensor fan doesnt turn on
It will not function until it has a refrigerant charge. There is a low pressure cycling switch in the AC compressor that will not let it function with low pressure. The system should be filled with PAG oil and refrigerant as that is what lubricates the AC compressor keeping it from destroying itself.
