replace the temp sensor as what you are doing is what the sensor should be doing when the coolant temp is reached.

1. Check all quick connect plugs for loose connections, i have had problems with those before. 2. There may be an in-line fuse also that is hard to find.3. You may be missing the ground somewhere, check ground connection to frame.

If you have good spark then it's most likely a fuel issue, anything off of idle is dealing with the main jet and metering needle, clean jet and check needle for excessive wear.

Check the fuel flow through the tank valve. There are screens inside the tank that may be blocked and restricting flow.
