Pull the washer out and tilt it up against the wall. It is always better to look from underneath because the water leak travels downwards.

You might try replacing the thermistor in the bottom of the outer tub. It's only a $6 part and pretty easy to do. Try cold only wash and see if it works. Also, try putting washer into test mode and run through each segment that it tests. Let us know results by commenting back pls

first check the lid switch. its a magnetic switch which tells the machine that the door is closed for it to start its operations. if that switch is OK then maybe your push in button needs replacing.

I had this problem with another model LG washer dryer and the problem was just the tiny switch (6mm x 6mm) on the circuit board had worn out. They cost about 30 pence on eBay and are very easy to remove and re-solder onto the circuit board as there are only 2 pins. This saved a huge amount of money for a new control board.

Spray WD 40 and wipe clean with cloth, not leaving any fibres on the PCV board.

There is also a discharge lint filter on the front lower left that has to seal properly. If the water appears only when washing, you can probably eliminate leaking from the water supply side up to the solenoids controlling the water. The most likely source is a leak in the rubber section between the tub and the front door, a leak in the seal between the door and the washer, a leak or overflow in the soap dispenser, or a leak in the discharge side components. You could probably figure out the source if you could view these areas during a cycle, but that would require some disassembly of the cabinet so that you would need to know what you were doing.

It sounds like the suspension dampers need to be replaced. Lubricant wears away and when the plastic meet metal it will make those odd noises as tub sways to center itself. I recommend replacing all 4 suspension dampers.
