Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

The most common issue i find with Plasma TV's acting like this is a failed power supply in them, usually due to leaky/failed capacitors. About your only option is to find someone with the know-how to repair it, as its almost impossible to find a replacement board. I fix more TV power supply boards then anything else these days.

1.Connect the Roku Stick to the HDMI port on your TV.

8.Once connected your Roku player will download the latest version software.
9.Create a Roku account and activate your Roku player.
After creating you can log into your streaming device to enjoy watching your favorite channels on Roku.

Mostly sure you spilled coffee or a liquid over the remote and it has a bad short inside!
Remove batteries, open the remote and clean it wit a piece of cotton and alcohol.
You can use an old toothbrush as well to help with cleaning just careful not to break any integrates. Choose my answer as Helpful if the provided solution works well!
