Give this a try. I am not certain that you can adjust the speed of the opener just the reversing and closing tolerances.

You do not repair them. Go to home depot or Lowe's and purchase a new set. They are not expensive. If the movers broke item why are you trying to repair it? Call company and have them replace the sensors.

Good Morning:

I also substituted Floescent Bulbs for the standard bulbs. The bulbs would not light up although the relay was working. It seemed that the Florescent bulbs had a somewhat shorter neck. What I did was unplug the drive system from the outlet and then bend the metal connector in the socket so that it would come out further towards the opening of the socket. I then repluged the drive. The Floercent bulbs now have contact and are working perfectly. Simple problem with a simple solution.

Sorry they are not compatible. Home Depot or Lowe's sell Genie remotes, they are not expensive.

Are the sensors lined up? They will get voltage without being aligned. Batteries good? Try opening the door by the button on wall or touch the contacts on back of motor with something conductive to act like the remote and see if it opens. This will tell you either remote or sensor issue or the opener itself
