ASUS Computers & Internet - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

why would any server need any special graphic card, ?
use remote desktop with anydesk.! (any vga works)
I guess you want to run VFS raid, software RAID is that it?

you are not on a builders forum , fixya is for the truly lost.....
you then conflict server words with workstation words, why?

try to focus on raid. ok? (to raid or not, you did say server)
servers run RAID so they stay up, and can even have 2 drives fail and not go down, do you understand that? Raid 6 or 10.

if needing raid try, unraid or .(lots of others)
what OS you pick matters only to YOU, (your skill sets)
or just buy Dell R710 for $100 and end all this hand made hack up DYI server builds. why make when real is near free and best.?

DYI has no Dual PSU
no hot swap drives.
no hot swap fans.

-------------------------
Unraid, or NAS set up.

SnapRaid.
or VFS is one if the best, built in to the VFS file system.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZFS

pick and OS that best supports ZFS.
Solaris ,BSD or Linux does ZFS, endless choices really.

if raid is not your goal
any OS will serve fails, any.!

I run real dell severs and win 2012R2, with H700 raid and raid 6 with 8 drives, as backup server, only. (have 3 actually Backup only) tiny investment, $100 + your SAS drive, like mine.
if wanting ZFS ask me what HBA cards work best and cheap.
I have this info.

ask them yet
I bet they say no, we are not Asus.com they are.
if true and I bet is.
only google for stolen /leaked, schematics exist.
google that, we have no time to google for you, that be your job.
ebay has used parts, for all things the OEM no longer supports
you have ebay. (used, new and new old stock parts)
you may have to set up ebay to send you email if an exact part is posted , day by day.
I do this all the time so know.

if the software is ok drivers from Asus, and the unstate OS is not corrupted, and no mouse plugged in , then the pad is bad.
and yes, bad pads get replaced, sure.
sure ebay, I bet you Asus does not sell this part, but you can ask them at ASus.com , we are no them , not in the least.
ebay is the best place to buy parts , any parts any maker does not sell. use or new old stock parts, this.

Have you done any recent upgrades? Your Power Supply (PS) may not be able to support the upgraded tech. In addition, it could be overheating because a fan problem or dust problem. Or the PS is failing. You can test it with a multi meter and jump wire. You will have to look up which pin's to put the jump wire on the 20/24pin connector (the biggest one that plugs into the motherboard). DC voltage is as follows 12 volts for the yellow wire. The other two VDC ranges are 5 volts and 3.3 volts for other power wires.

Here is a simple how to but missing the volt ratings per wire colors. .

Make sure the cmos setup is set to try booting from the CDROM. There are various methods to access cmos setup...but usually you need to press either the Delete key, or F10 or F12 right after turning on the power.

If it won't boot from the CDROM, the problem is is more likely to be in the power supply or motherboard than the hard drive.

If this is RansomeWare, press CTRL+Alt+Delete and choose Task Manager to close the page.

If all your data has become encrypted, you have a problem and a full reformat is the only option.

how much ? cost? $$$$$
or how large (sizes does it support)
can you retype this is clear English.?
or tell us e what you are attempting? tell the story, please? I am sure there is. (dumpster diver?)
like , I want a bigger HDD.?
or , I found this old mobo in the trash and want to learn what it can it do with those SATA ports?
Im sure it goes past the 2GB barriers, so if formatting it to GPT IT WILL. MBR ends at 2TB.
there is no limit on size, only what you buy for SSD/HDD is the limit, (your wallet thickness is the limit)
connect up a SATA hdd and power to it
then try to install any OS, see it works, just 2 simple tests.

if not tell what you saw in details. (forget XP ok?)
asus did not sell that mobo neat (all by its lonesome! but sure on the rip site feabay the sell 14 year old junk worth zero, for big money because the buyers are clueless, to value.)

is part of full system, !, I do not now what.
so tell where you found it first.? ok?
tell the story, I am sure it's very interesting.

if HDD max size was your question, the answer is unlimited
EXA BYTES, yes unlimited. in the current world.

I will not live to see the end, limit on this earth, I bet.
but this is the current limit, but untested, due to no such thing exits.
9.4ZB or 9.4 billion terabytes even if the disk uses 512B sector.
ZetaByte limit is this.

8.5830688476562E+15 megabyte
9 zettabyte TO gigabyte = 8381903171539.3 gigabyte

or 2095475792884 movies. is this enough? IDK.
good luck with this Contract board.

ok that is good question!
lets see what is this thing, it is a
ASUS Transformer Mini T102HA

1-so we RTM read the manual first , not told there.!
2-top mobo no coin,
3:bottom of mobo, no coin nor jacks for it.
4:no one sell it, for this PC.

conclusion, the big battery is IT, there is no CMOS battery separate here, do to battery big moving to the insides, where owner cant reach,
this is vary common for cracker thin notebooks pads and cell phones.

2008 old motherboard day, no cpu , no ram no GPU card stated
in the stop slot, nor if it needs (tell model card) AUX power feed.
the users manual sadly has no beep codes, told. (asus is slipping on good support, unlike grand Dell.com,, top maker of PCs)
the top slot is x16 PCI-express, it needs GPU card three
if you pick on that sucks 30amps. if will fail with out a v2.3 version 600watt PSU.
if you pick a gpu card that is 75watts max 6amp max, any card will work there, GPU,
gaming cards will fail, if over 75watts. (like the old gtx650 )
but a new gtx1050 will run with most PSU's (no not 250watts)
see if you posted what you have we can tell you ,ok this is good but that is so wrong.
some how your , lost this page, missing VGA card.
