Blower is working, but makes a medium to high pitch sound

Blocked or dirty filters or grease buildup on the fan blades. It may also be the bearings in the fan motor are wearing out. Most rangehoods , only have the motor assembly as a spare part.

Removing blower motor

tap the fan on the shaft just a bit then clean the shaft with sand paper then carefully pull and rotate the fan off of the motor shaft = lock the motors rotor in a vice this make it a easy job. BUT don't damage the fan ! if it feels like it's not going to come off STOP. and search for you local electric motor repair shop with free testing. and ask him to pull it off fer ya, ask him how to oil this motor so you don't go threw this again. ?

Kitchenaid range hood uxb0600dys wiring schematic

I don't mean to be rude, but wiring this hood without a schematic should be simple for a qualified electrician. Perhaps you should pass on this and hire one.

KWCU405SSS fan motor high speed only

Agreed! It totally works. Our fan and lights were stuck on high. Flipped the hood circuit breaker off for 30 seconds then back on again and all controls are working normally again. Thanks!

KitchenAid KHTU160KSS Kitchen Hood makes noise

Remove the fan and motor assembly from the hood (the fan motor will plug into the hood housing) and using an electrical motor cleaner (such as CRC electrical motor cleaner available from your local auto parts store) wash the motor and fan as completely as possible, lubricate the end bearings (sparingly) with a very light oil such as sewing machine oil, gun oil or as a last resort 3 in 1 oil. Hope this helps.

How to remove nuts that secure blower wheel to fan motor

Hi,
The set screws do not have to be removed... just loosened...
Getting to them is the tricky part...
often there is a hole in the blower wheel fins so that you cn get tools into the set screws..

Our Kitchenaid Range Hood model KWCU405SSS has a code "C" in the display. What does that mean?

I just did this and it works.

1.) Make sure to turn off both the fan and the lights. If you skip this step the next step won't work.

2.) Press and hold the + button for 4 seconds until the "C" disappears.

Repeat in another 100hrs of use.
